I really wish Apple would introduce a feature that prevented at-risk individuals from drinking and social media’ing.
“Hey, Siri! I’m deep into the tequila, so please prevent me from texting or posting ANYTHING to ANYONE!”
The correct response from Siri would be, “Okay. Only calls to 911 for emergencies will be allowed. Contact with current employers and exes will be blocked.”
Perfect! That should keep me safe.
It would be a nice-to-have feature if anything sad or maudlin were also blocked, but I would be okay if it were just a warning.
Hey. Siri… I’ve been dun drinkin’ and I don’t think I should be textin’ or postin’ anything because me too brain fuzzied.
“Messaging all contacts: screw you and your horse! I quit and/or we’re finished! I love you so much, I need you back! Please forgive me for something something.”
Siri’s ability to destroy your life is unstoppable. Seriously. Try it. See what happens.
